PentaBlocks Arena Ranked Guide
Arena is the ranked race mode in PentaBlocks. You are matched by rating, both players get the same puzzle, and the faster valid completion wins. The objective is consistent performance across matches, not one lucky solve.
How Matchmaking Works
- Queue opens when you tap Find Match.
- System prefers close rating opponents first, then gradually widens the range.
- During test phases, fallback bot opponents can be enabled by server config.
Start and Timer Rules
- Both sides receive a synchronized start countdown.
- Both sides solve the exact same board and piece set.
- Timer deadline is shared, so everyone finishes on the same clock endpoint.
Rating Tiers
Arena rating starts near 1000 and moves based on wins/losses against opponent strength. Visible ladder tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster) provide progression milestones.
Ways to Improve Arena Win Rate
- Open with restrictive pieces to reduce branching.
- Avoid disconnected empty islands early in the board.
- Reset quickly if opening structure breaks by piece three.
- Practice hard single-player levels for speed consistency.
Fair Play
Arena is designed around equal seeds and synchronized timing. Any future anti-abuse checks and leaderboard moderation are applied to preserve competitive integrity.
