How to Play PentaBlocks
PentaBlocks is a browser puzzle game inspired by classic Katamino style and pentamino logic challenges. Your goal is simple: place all provided pieces into the target board before the timer ends. While the rule sounds easy, each level introduces new board layouts and higher shape complexity.
Core Rules
- Drag a piece from stash to the board.
- Rotate piece with R (or one tap on mobile).
- Flip piece with F (or tap and hold on mobile).
- Return selected piece to stash with ESC.
- Fill every board cell exactly once before time reaches zero.
Single Player Progression
Single player uses 100 levels with increasing difficulty bands. You unlock the next level by clearing the current one. Best completion times are saved, and star ratings reward fast and clean solves. The game is designed so each level has a valid solution and meaningful progression from early practice boards to high complexity challenges.
Multiplayer and Arena Basics
Multiplayer challenge rooms and ranked Arena races use synchronized starts and shared puzzle seeds, so every player solves the same board under the same clock. This keeps results skill based and fair. In tournament rooms, points are tracked across rounds to determine the final champion.
Tips for New Players
- Place restrictive pieces first (long bars, L-shapes with deep corners).
- Keep open space connected; avoid creating tiny isolated holes.
- Use edge and corner matching early to reduce later ambiguity.
- If you get stuck, reset pieces and restart your placement order.
